Patient survival stratified for distant metastasis and grading. (A) Survival time of patients without metastasis (N = 31) was statistically not different to patients with distant metastases (N = 7) (92 ± 11 versus 80 ± 23 months; P = 0.876). (B) The survival of patients with G1 tumors (N = 18; 111 ± 12 months), G2 tumors (N = 16; 68 ± 12 months) and G3 tumors (N = 3; 21 ± 14 months) differed significantly (G1 vs. G2 P = 0.126; G1 vs. G3 P = 0.022; G2 vs. G3 P = 0.127).
